On the night from Monday to Tuesday, Russia attacked the Orlivka crossing point, located at the border with Romania, causing significant damage. The attack led to the temporary closure of this border point, and the crossing formalities for citizens and vehicles were suspended.

According to the Ukrainian border service, fires and damage to the crossing point building were reported. Following the attack, which occurred in the context of escalating violence in Ukraine, at least 12 deaths and several injuries were reported in various regions, including Kiev. Romanian authorities have been informed about the situation, and transport means are being redirected to other crossing points.
