The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, announced that Ukraine has made a proposal to Russia, through American mediators, for a ceasefire aimed at the attacks on the energy infrastructure of both countries. Zelensky stated that if Russia is willing to cease attacks on the Ukrainian energy sector, Ukraine will do the same.

This proposal was communicated to the Russian side during an evening speech. The Ukrainian president emphasized that more and more countries wish to collaborate with Ukraine in the field of security and that Kyiv remains open to partnerships with states that support the sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.

Additionally, Zelensky mentioned that peace negotiations in a tripartite format with the USA and Russia should be resumed as soon as possible, but the meeting planned for the beginning of March has been postponed due to Russia's refusal to hold discussions on American territory. He indicated that the American negotiating team will not travel to other locations as long as the USA is in conflict with Iran.
