The Russian technology company Yandex announced on Sunday morning that its cloud infrastructure is unavailable after a drone attack damaged a data center in the city of Vladimir, east of Moscow. According to the company, the center's operations were completely disrupted.
Yandex said on Telegram that the remaining infrastructure resources are unstable and that the platform cannot be accessed by users. The company did not specify the exact extent of the damage or the estimated duration of the service outage.
The incident resulted in no casualties, according to information published by Yandex. Technical teams are carrying out repair operations to restore the infrastructure's functionality.
The attack represents another incident affecting digital infrastructure and data centers on Russian territory, amid the war between Russia and Ukraine. The company described the incident as an attack by Ukrainian drones, but the information was not independently confirmed in the cited report.
Until the damage is repaired, Yandex's cloud services remain unstable or suspended.
