Aleksandar Vucic has vowed a decisive response against anti-corruption protesters who have sparked violence during protests over the past five days. They have resulted in the wounding of more than 130 policemen and dozens of civilians. Vucic said the Serbian state would use all available resources to restore order, but ruled out declaring a state of emergency. The protests have been sparked by a corruption-related tragedy and are calling for early elections, which Vucic rejects, accusing outside influence.
