The financial director, Brian Dykes, mentioned that UPS will reduce operational activity by approximately 25 million hours, and the reductions will be made through natural departures and a voluntary departure program for full-time drivers. The company will close 24 buildings by 2026, after closing 93 locations last year, and further closures are possible.

UPS, led by CEO Carol Tomé, is undergoing a transformation process, estimating savings of $3 billion from its separation from Amazon, its former largest customer. Although it eliminated 48,000 jobs last year, UPS reported solid results in the fourth quarter, exceeding expectations and prompting a nearly 2% increase in shares.
