According to a German general, the Ukrainian drone attack damaged about 10% of Russia's Tu-95 and Tu-22 strategic bombers, as well as some A-50 early warning aircraft, which were not operational. Estimates suggest up to 20 planes were damaged and Russia will have to take steps to protect its fleet. The attack was ingeniously carried out, with the drones launched from trucks parked near Russian airfields, including in areas far from Ukraine. Although the impact is significant, the general does not believe it will reduce the intensity of Russian bombing of Ukraine.
