The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukraine is ready to send its best experts in intercepting Iranian drones in the Middle East, provided that regional leaders convince Russia to accept a one-month ceasefire. This statement came after Iranian drone and missile attacks on cities in the Middle East, in response to coordinated actions by the US and Israel.

Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine has gained valuable experience in downing drones, especially those of the Shahed type, used by Russia. He suggested that leaders in the Middle East, having relations with Russia, could facilitate a ceasefire that could last between three weeks and two months, to protect civilians. Although Ukraine has requested an unconditional ceasefire, Russia has rejected this proposal. Zelensky mentioned that he has not received direct requests from European or Middle Eastern countries to send Ukrainian experts, but stated that Ukraine is open to sharing information with its partners.
