President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated on Tuesday that Ukraine is testing a new weapon designed to intercept drones.

Zelenskyy announced that the system has already managed to destroy a Shahed drone during a nighttime attack. Kyiv is rapidly developing anti-drone technologies and seeking more efficient and cheaper solutions for defending its airspace.

Zelenskyy described the system as a Ukrainian invention, but noted that the technology is not yet ready in its final form and that further technical improvements are still needed.
