Ukraine carried out a significant attack on Saint Petersburg on Wednesday, June 3, hitting an important oil terminal and targets in Kronstadt, just hours before the opening of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
The governor of Saint Petersburg, Aleksandr Beglov, announced that several people were injured, but no fatalities were reported. The attack raised questions about the effectiveness of Russian air defense, occurring about 20 kilometers from the forum, which brings together delegates from 76 countries. Significant delays were also recorded at Pulkovo Airport due to the attack.
On the same day, Russia accused Ukraine of an attack on a bus in the occupied territory of Donetsk, resulting in deaths and injuries. This incident occurred after a massive Russian attack on Ukraine, which resulted in numerous casualties.
