A 23-year-old man was accidentally killed at his wedding by a guest who fired a weapon, a frequent incident in Turkey.

The tragic incident took place in the province of Giresun, where the son-in-law died from his injuries a day after the wedding. A relative by marriage, suspected of having fired the shot, has been arrested. Such accidents are common in Turkey, where approximately 40 million firearms circulate, many of them illegally. Recently, another similar incident occurred in the province of Trabzon, where one person was killed and two were injured.
