The Prosecutor's Office next to the Giurgiu Tribunal has launched an investigation after a 24-year-old police officer, an employee of the Giurgiu Police Inspectorate, was found dead, shot in the head, in the apartment he was renting. The incident was reported by a woman, the owner of the apartment, who noticed that the young man was not answering his phone. Police officers arrived at the scene and discovered that he had apparently shot himself with a firearm. Sources from the investigation indicate that the police officer showed no signs of personal or professional problems. Investigations continue to clarify all the circumstances surrounding the death.
