On November 3, the police in Roman were alerted by a man from Galați, who observed an incident live on a social media platform, where a man appeared to have shot himself. At the scene, authorities found a 74-year-old man from Roman with a gunshot wound to the head, but who was showing vital signs. He was transported to the hospital for medical care. Although the man was a holder of lethal weapons, his permit had been revoked, but he was within the legal timeframe for surrendering the weapons. The police are conducting investigations to establish the circumstances of the incident and assess the possible commission of the crime of bodily harm through negligence.
