In a post on Truth Social, Donald Trump criticized NATO's commitment, stating that it is below 100% and denounced the purchase of Russian oil. He proposed imposing tariffs of 50%-100% on China to reduce its influence over Russia, believing that this could end the war in Ukraine. Trump reiterated that the war would not have started if he had been president and blamed the Biden administration and Zelensky for the current situation. He warned that without decisive actions from NATO, the time and resources of the United States will be wasted.
