American President Donald Trump signed a government agreement on Tuesday that prohibits the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) from conducting audits or investigations into its previous activities. The agreement, revealed by the Department of Justice and signed by acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, blocks the IRS from advertising activities of the Trump family that occurred before this date. This provision is part of a broader out-of-court arrangement aimed at resolving the lawsuit filed by Trump and his children against the IRS, following the leak of his tax returns. Published tax documents showed that Trump paid only $750 in federal income tax in 2016 and 2017 and did not pay federal taxes in 11 of the 18 analyzed years. The agreement also anticipates the creation of a $1.8 billion fund to compensate victims of an alleged 'militarization' of the American judicial system.
