President Donald Trump stated on Wednesday that he does not get involved in managing his personal finances, a day after reporting earnings of over 1.4 billion dollars from his family's cryptocurrency businesses.
Trump claimed that many people are making profits due to the rise of the stock market in the U.S. Financial documents show that his companies received nearly 800 million dollars from World Liberty Financial, a cryptocurrency business co-founded by him and his sons. The earnings include over 520 million dollars from the sale of tokens and 250 million dollars from the sale of stakes in the World Liberty business. The White House emphasized that Trump has placed his business in a trust managed by his sons, denying any conflict of interest.
The deputy press secretary stated that Trump has transformed the U.S. into the 'global capital of cryptocurrency,' despite his previous criticisms of them. This revelation shows that his earnings from cryptocurrency exceed the income from his real estate business, which initially brought him fame.
