American President Donald Trump requested the revocation of the licenses of NBC and ABC television stations after they refused to broadcast his speech on Thursday, according to AFP. Trump suggested, without providing evidence, that these networks are involved in a conspiracy aimed at hiding the corruption of the electoral system. In a rare move, both stations decided not to air the speech, citing the controversial nature of the announcements related to election security, just a few months before the midterm elections.

In his speech, Trump attacked "corrupt bureaucrats" and reiterated his unproven allegations of electoral fraud in favor of Joe Biden. Although he did not present evidence, Trump claimed that he would no longer allow stolen elections. Experts and courts have concluded that there is no evidence of fraud that could have influenced the results of the 2020 elections. Television networks have the freedom to decide what to broadcast, but historically they have aired the majority of the president's speeches due to public interest.
