Following a phone conversation with European leaders, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Donald Trump is "very unhappy" with the Russian oil purchases by European countries such as Slovakia and Hungary. Trump emphasized the importance of halting these purchases, which contribute to funding the war in Ukraine. He also urged European leaders to impose economic pressure on China for its support of Russia. The European Commission has proposed legislation to gradually eliminate imports of Russian oil and gas by 2028.
