Although they discussed long-range missiles, the two leaders decided not to make statements "because the United States does not want a military escalation." Donald Trump suggested that he would prefer a peaceful solution, urging Kyiv and Moscow to end the conflict.

Volodymyr Zelensky mentioned that the use of Tomahawk missiles could weaken Russia's war economy, but he acknowledged that the prospect of their use is uncertain. Following the meeting, Zelensky informed European leaders about the discussions held, emphasizing the importance of protecting Ukraine and the lives of its citizens. Trump also mentioned progress in discussions with Putin, planning a future meeting in Hungary.
