Tropical Storm Chantal formed in the Atlantic and made landfall near Litchfield Beach, South Carolina, with winds gusting up to 40 mph. The NHC expects the storm to move inland with the potential for flash flooding before becoming a depression. It comes after Texas was battered by heavy rainfall and flash flooding, killing at least 50 people.
