The United Kingdom, France, and Germany have launched a 30-day process to reimpose UN sanctions on Iran, related to its nuclear program. This action comes two months after Israel and the United States bombed Iran. The trio, known as E3, stated that they decided to trigger the mechanism called "snapback" before losing the ability, in mid-October, to restore sanctions on Tehran, which were lifted under the 2015 nuclear deal.
