The Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo stated that Donald Trump should allow Ukraine to use Tomahawk cruise missiles to strike targets in Russia, emphasizing that Russia poses a constant threat to European security. Orpo asserted that to stop the war, Ukraine must be adequately equipped, having a power comparable to that of Russia.

His comments were made in the context of Trump announcing sanctions against Russian oil companies, but he expressed reservations about supplying Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, mentioning the need for intensive training. Orpo highlighted the importance of military support for Ukraine and suggested that a long-term solution could involve using Russia's frozen assets to finance Ukraine, which would send a strong message to Putin.
