The President of the United States, Donald Trump, warned that Ukraine is preparing for a new offensive against Russia and is considering the possibility of delivering Tomahawk cruise missiles, capable of striking targets over 2,000 kilometers away. Trump stated that he will discuss this topic with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a meeting scheduled for October 17. The Tomahawk missiles, with a range between 1,600 and 2,500 kilometers, could allow Ukraine to strike over 1,900 Russian military targets. The Kremlin reacted vehemently, warning that such a delivery would mark an escalation of the conflict and would destroy relations with the U.S. Additionally, Russian officials threatened that such a decision could lead to a nuclear confrontation. Meanwhile, a Ukrainian delegation is in Washington to discuss cooperation in the field of armaments and energy partnerships. Military experts believe that the delivery of these missiles would change the balance in the conflict, forcing Russia to disperse its resources.
