The President of the USA, Donald Trump, stated that he is not considering, for the moment, an agreement that would allow Ukraine to obtain Tomahawk cruise missiles to use against Russia. He expressed reluctance towards a plan whereby the United States could sell these missiles to NATO countries, which would subsequently transfer them to Ukraine, stating that he does not wish to escalate the conflict. Although he mentioned that he might reconsider this position in the future, Trump remained firm in his statements. The issue of Tomahawk missiles was recently discussed with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, and the final decision rests with the United States. Tomahawk missiles have a range of up to 2,500 kilometers, which would allow them to target numerous sites in Russia. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky requested these missiles, but the Kremlin warned against supplying them. The Pentagon assessed that delivering the missiles would not affect U.S. stocks, but the final decision remains with Trump.
