The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, will have a meeting on Friday with the American President, Donald Trump, in Washington, where he will request the provision of Tomahawk missiles to strengthen Ukraine's capabilities in the face of Russian threats.
This meeting comes after Trump had a conversation considered 'very productive' with Vladimir Putin, in which they discussed trade between the two countries post-conflict. Zelensky emphasized that Russia 'is eager to resume dialogue' in the context of his request for advanced missiles, which could strike targets at long distances.
Although Trump left open the possibility of supplying these missiles, he mentioned that the United States must keep its own stockpiles. At the same time, Russia recently launched a massive attack on Ukraine, raising concerns about Moscow's intentions.
