The American army announced the deployment of 'large-scale attacks' against several ISIS targets in Syria, as part of the Hawkeye Strike operation, which took place on Saturday at 12:30 pm EST (7:30 pm Romanian time). This operation was ordered by Donald Trump in response to an 'ambush' attack carried out by ISIS on December 13, 2025, in which two American soldiers and a civilian translator were killed. The U.S. Central Command emphasized that the operation is part of the ongoing U.S. commitment to eradicate Islamic terrorism, prevent future attacks, and protect American forces and partners in the region.
