The memorandum will stipulate that maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz will be unrestricted, and Iran will need to remove mines from the area within 30 days. It will also include commitments from Iran not to pursue the acquisition of a nuclear weapon and will address the removal of enriched uranium. The United States will commit to discussing the lifting of sanctions and unblocking frozen Iranian funds, as well as a mechanism for delivering goods and humanitarian aid to Iran.
