On Saturday morning, Russia launched attacks on Kyiv and Kharkiv, resulting in at least one death and 15 injuries, according to Reuters reports. The mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, announced that there were disruptions in the heating and water supply in the capital, affecting nearly 6,000 buildings, in conditions where the temperature dropped to minus 12 degrees Celsius.
In Kharkiv, Mayor Ihor Terekhov confirmed that Russian drones hit several neighborhoods, injuring 11 people. The Ukrainian army stated that the attacks involved the use of drones and missiles, and Moscow has intensified attacks on the Ukrainian energy grid, causing significant power outages during a period of extreme cold.
