Russia has rejected accusations of deporting thousands of Ukrainian children to its territory, explaining its actions to the UN.

Russia's Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection Aleksei Vovcenko says Russia has not been involved in the deportation of Ukrainian citizens to its territory since February 2022. He said that checks are underway into the situation of more than 5,000 children, but Russia firmly rejects all allegations.
