Revolut has announced the appointment of Cetin Duransoy as CEO for the USA, succeeding Sid Jajodia, who will remain with the company as global banking director. Nik Storonsky, the co-founder of Revolut, emphasized the importance of the United States in the company's global growth strategy, mentioning that obtaining a national banking license is essential for building a global banking platform. The license will allow Revolut to enhance the customer experience, operate in all 50 states, and access payment systems directly, thus facilitating loans and offering FDIC-insured deposits. Duransoy has extensive experience in the technology and finance sectors, having held previous positions at Raisin, Capital One, and VISA. Revolut aims to expand into 30 new markets by 2030 and reach 100 million customers by 2027, having recently made significant achievements in Mexico and India.
