Several Revolut users reported problems accessing the app on Wednesday evening after being logged out and unable to sign back in. The British fintech platform indicated on its website that there was an issue related to user logins, reported at around 17:22.
The incident was also reported on the Downdetector portal, where hundreds of reports concerning access to Revolut services were recorded. The problems mainly affect authentication in the app, although the exact extent of the incident was not specified.
This is the second disruption to access to the Revolut app in the past ten days. During the previous incident, the company said that it involved “a disruption to services” and assured customers that their money and data were safe.
Revolut has approximately five million customers in Romania, making the country the fifth-largest market in the European Union for the financial app, according to data provided by the company. The cause of Wednesday evening’s problems and when they would be resolved had not been specified by the time the information was published.
