In response to the growing threats from the US to occupy Greenland, NATO countries have agreed to strengthen their presence in the Arctic. At a recent meeting in Brussels, alliance ambassadors discussed the need to bolster the Arctic flank, considering President Donald Trump's statements regarding Russian and Chinese influence in the area. The proposals included in the discussions suggest using intelligence capabilities to monitor the territory, increasing defense spending, transferring military equipment, and organizing military exercises.

Europe expresses its concern regarding US intentions, seeking a compromise to avoid a military intervention that could affect the transatlantic alliance. Additionally, the issue of Greenland was also addressed during a meeting of EU ambassadors, who expressed solidarity with Denmark. In this context, Denmark will present an official report at a future EU meeting.
