The regime in Pyongyang celebrated the conclusion of the 9th Congress of the Workers' Party with a grand military parade in Kim Il Sung Square on February 25. Dictator Kim Jong Un declared the Congress closed, emphasizing that the party is at a new historic turning point.

Kim Jong Un was unanimously re-elected as the party's general secretary. During the ceremony, high-ranking military officials took an oath of loyalty to the leader. Additionally, the influence of Kim Jong Un's sister, Kim Yo Jong, has increased, as she was promoted from an assistant leadership position to a department director within the party.
