On Sunday, North Koreans participated in the elections for the delegates of the Supreme People's Assembly, which is responsible for approving government decisions.

According to the official news agency KCNA, the electoral authorities reported a voter turnout of 99.99%. This election took place after a party congress held once every five years. Leader Kim Jong Un voted at a coal mine in the Sunchon region, where he gave a speech and interacted with the miners.
