On the night from Monday to Tuesday, Russia carried out a massive attack on Ukraine, causing the death of at least nine people and injuring dozens more. The most affected cities were Kyiv and Dnipro, where authorities reported significant destruction, fires, and power outages.

In Dnipro, five people were killed and 16 injured, while in Kyiv, one person died and at least 20 were injured. The mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, urged residents to take shelter, while the head of the city's Military Administration warned that the enemy is striking with ballistic missiles. Two residential blocks were affected, and fears persist that more people may be trapped under the rubble.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, warned a few hours before the attack that Russia is preparing a major military operation, and the Russian Foreign Ministry advised foreign citizens to leave Kyiv.
