Last night, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine, using 650 drones and over 50 missiles, mainly targeting the country's civil energy system. President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that the attack resulted in the deaths of two people and affected ten regions, including Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Poltava, Dnipro, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Sumy, Kyiv, and Mykolaiv.
Local authorities reported power outages and interruptions in the supply of heating and gas. The DTEK company announced significant damage to its thermal power plants. Zelensky condemned the attack as an act of terrorism and called on the international community, especially the G7, to impose harsher sanctions on Russia. Additionally, the head of the Ukrainian government, Yulia Svyrydenko, requested additional support for air defense systems to protect Ukraine's infrastructure.
