The average price of diesel in Germany has reached 2.054 euros/liter, and the price increases have also affected Romania, in the context of tensions in the Middle East.

ADAC reported that the average price of a liter of diesel in Germany rose Wednesday morning to 2.054 euros, thus reaching a level similar to that of September 2022. This increase in prices is influenced by recent tensions in the Middle East, following the American-Israeli attack on Iran, which led to restrictions in maritime transport through the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial point for global energy trade.

Oil and gas prices have risen significantly, and the American president mentioned that the U.S. Navy could escort oil tankers in this area. Although there are concerns about supply, Germany continues to source from various suppliers, including Norway and the U.S., without panic. The price of E10 gasoline has increased, reaching 1.995 euros/liter, and price fluctuations are frequent, with a tendency to decrease in the evening.
