The largest airline group in Europe has stated that the measures will mainly target administrative positions, not operational roles, with layoffs primarily affecting employees in Germany, until 2030. The group, which has around 103,000 employees, includes the companies Eurowings, Austrian, Swiss, and Brussels Airlines, as well as the recently acquired Italian state airline ITA Airways.
