Born on December 9, 1953, in Illinois, Malkovich has Croatian roots through his paternal grandparents, who emigrated from Ozalj, Croatia. Additionally, the actor has English, French, German, and Scottish ancestry from his mother’s side. Malkovich is recognized for iconic roles in films such as 'In the Line of Fire,' for which he was nominated for an Oscar, 'Being John Malkovich,' and 'Burn After Reading.'
