Danny Glover, known for his role in the "Lethal Weapon" film series, revealed on Wednesday that he suffers from Alzheimer's disease, an incurable neurodegenerative condition. The actor explained on NBC that he has been battling this illness for several years, having received the diagnosis in 2023. Glover mentioned that, although the disease affects his speech and slows his movements, his family provides constant support.

"I can live with this, to a certain extent," he said, acknowledging that as the disease progresses, things will change.

Danny Glover, who received an honorary Oscar in 2022 for his humanitarian contributions, has a diverse career in film, with memorable roles in movies such as "The Color Purple" and "Mandela."

Alzheimer's disease primarily affects individuals aged 65 and older, and those diagnosed live, on average, between four and eight years after diagnosis.
