The Israeli army intensified its attacks on Lebanon on Wednesday, causing at least 22 deaths, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health. These attacks occurred despite the ceasefire in effect since April 17 and targeted over 30 locations.
Among the victims are eight people, including two children, killed in attacks on vehicles near Beirut. The Ministry of Health also reported ten new deaths in the south of the country, including in the town of Arab Salim. Since the ceasefire came into effect, the total death toll has exceeded 400, and over 10,000 homes have been affected. Hezbollah claimed attacks against Israeli troops, using explosive drones. The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon expressed concern about the activities of Hezbollah fighters and Israeli soldiers near its positions.
Lebanon has requested the United States to pressure Israel to stop the attacks before scheduled negotiations. Since the beginning of the conflict, at least 2,882 people have been killed, including 200 children.
