Following a teleconference on Friday evening, Israeli ministers decided to allocate 2.6 billion shekels for 'security acquisitions' and to respond to 'urgent needs', according to the daily Haaretz. The document from the Ministry of Finance, circulated by national media, emphasizes that the intensification of fighting has created an urgent need to provide an operational response, including through the acquisition of munitions and advanced weaponry, as well as by replenishing critical combat stocks. This exceptional decision is intended to address the needs generated by the ongoing conflicts. The funds will be withdrawn from the state budget, which was approved on March 12 and is set to be adopted by the Knesset by March 31. So far, Benjamin Netanyahu's government has not provided official details on the use of these funds.
