Red intervention plan activated in the municipality of Mediaș, Sibiu County, following a serious road accident resulting in six victims.

In the municipality of Mediaș, Sibiu County, a serious road accident involved a bus and several cars, resulting in the medical evaluation of six people.

All victims are conscious, according to information provided by the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU). Following the incident, the authorities activated the Red Intervention Plan, mobilizing four SMURD teams, one of which had a doctor, and three ambulances from the County Ambulance Service (SAJ).

Additionally, two special vehicles were sent for transporting personnel and multiple victims, one rescue vehicle, and one firefighting vehicle. Medical teams are on-site to assess the condition of the victims and provide necessary care. The mission is ongoing, and the authorities are set to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
