A minibus carrying 18 people overturned in Iași County / Authorities activated the Red Intervention Plan

A minibus carrying 18 people overturned on Sunday evening on a curve in the village of Țigănești, Iași County. One person was trapped in the accident, and the authorities activated the Red Intervention Plan, given the large number of people involved.

Firefighter and ambulance crews from Iași County were dispatched to the scene. The Iași County Emergency Situations Inspectorate (ISU Iași) said the response was coordinated through the activation of the inspectorate’s Operations Group.

Forces from Iași Fire Departments 1 and 2 were sent to manage the situation: two firefighting vehicles, two vehicles for transporting personnel and multiple victims, two qualified first-aid crews, and a vehicle equipped for extrication operations. A total of 23 military personnel are taking part in the response.

Three crews from the Iași County Ambulance Service are also heading to the scene, one of them accompanied by a doctor. Response teams are working to extricate the trapped person and assess everyone involved. The causes and circumstances of the accident are to be established.
