The administration of President Donald Trump has informed the U.S. Congress about its intention to allocate over 206 million dollars for the International Stabilization Force (ISF) in the Gaza Strip, marking the first major funding for the American plan to secure and rebuild the war-affected Palestinian enclave. In notifications sent to Congress, the State Department detailed the allocation of 200 million dollars for equipment and infrastructure, while another 6 million will be allocated for the refurbishment of American armored vehicles.

The ISF will be responsible for taking on security responsibilities, supporting demilitarization and the delivery of humanitarian aid. Although the plan calls for the deployment of the force after the withdrawal of Israeli troops, negotiations for the final composition of the force are ongoing. Special envoy Jared Kushner has had discussions with Hamas officials and Israeli leaders, but has not made significant progress in implementing the agreement.
