The Iranian judiciary decided on Saturday to suspend the Special General Headquarters for the organization and governance of the national cyberspace, an entity recently created by President Masoud Pezeshkian.

This measure comes following 'filings of complaints', according to the judiciary's Mizan website, without providing further details. The respective entity implemented on Monday the restoration of internet access, which had been suspended on February 28, in the context of American and Israeli attacks on Iran. Since then, the population has had limited access to a local intranet, and recently, Iran introduced a system called 'Pro Internet', which offers conditional access to the internet for certain categories of users, at higher costs.

On April 5, NetBlocks, an organization specialized in monitoring cybersecurity, announced that the internet access blockade set a record in terms of the duration of a nationwide interruption.
