On Saturday, June 6, the Iranian Foreign Ministry issued a statement emphasizing the importance of the 'principle of good neighborliness' and warning regional countries not to allow the United States to launch attacks against Iran from their territories. This appeal came after the U.S. attacked radar facilities in southern Iran, considering it a violation of the ceasefire from April 2026.
Iran has requested the UN Security Council to respond to the 'illegal actions of the U.S.', which threaten regional and global peace. Additionally, American forces intercepted Iranian missiles and drones in the Persian Gulf, amid rising tensions between Washington and Tehran.
The U.S. Central Command confirmed that all drones launched by Iran were shot down before they could affect international commercial traffic. This escalation of the conflict occurred in the context of a fragile ceasefire, which has been violated by both parties.
