The investigation was launched after Klebsiella pneumoniae and Ralstonia pickettii bacteria were found in fentanyl given to patients in several hospitals. The deaths were reported in various provinces and 24 people are involved in the investigation, including owners of companies that supplied the contaminated fentanyl. Victims' families are demanding justice, and experts warn that the death toll could rise as medical records are reviewed.
