An investigation has been launched in Japan to reconstruct the collision between a passenger plane and a Coast Guard aircraft.

The crash killed five people and canceled more than 300 flights. Airbus, the manufacturer of the passenger plane, will send a team of specialists to provide technical assistance in the investigation. Television footage showed an orange fireball shooting out of the passenger plane during the collision on landing.
