Hamas has informed mediators that it intends to transfer the bodies of four deceased Israeli hostages in Israel on Tuesday, at 10:00 PM local time. This announcement came in the context where Israel communicated to the UN that it will halve the aid deliveries to Gaza, allowing access for only 300 aid trucks, starting Wednesday. The coordinator of government activities in the territories explained that the restrictions are imposed because Hamas violated the agreement regarding the release of the bodies. Israel accuses Hamas of delaying the handover of 24 deceased captives, and the ceasefire between the two parties is under strain. Additionally, the Rafah crossing point between Gaza and Egypt will remain closed until Wednesday. The deputy chief economist of the IMF highlighted the opportunity for economic recovery in Gaza, in the context of the ceasefire agreement.
