Germany has started funding long-range weapon systems for Ukraine, signing a contract for more than 500 Antonov-196 kamikaze Antonov-196 drones. These drones have a range of 1,200km and can carry a 50kg explosive payload, making them effective against lighter targets such as fuel depots. The German defense ministry did not confirm financial details, but announced that Germany and Ukraine will collaborate in the production of weapons, including drones and missiles.
